Join Biggar Community Market Garden to celebrate nature. Hear about the ways the market garden are supporting and protecting local biodiversity and the natural environment.
At 2pm take part in a 45 minute 'Walk and Talk' - a guided group walk showcasing their biodiversity practices for anyone interested in encouraging nature or growing using regenerative practices in their own gardens or growing areas.
Throughout the day there will be short, self-led Nature Hunts throughout the garden and local park areas - perfect for little ones! Using the map provided, look out for examples of local birds, animals and plants hidden along the route.
In the garden buildings there will be information displays and wildlife photography displays.
There will also be demonstrations of the moth trap, wildlife pond and seed saving techniques. Plus the opportunity to try out an electric bike.
Refreshments will be provided.
No booking is required, just come along on the day.
