About this event

Join Kirkwood Tenants and Residents Association (2023) and Socialtrack at the Luggie Burn. Take part in a community litter pick - help clear the pathway and remove litter from the community greenspace. Plus, there will be refreshments available for volunteers. Socialtrack will be there be hosting cycle and scooter trials for primary school children (please note that children must be accompanied by an adult).

This event will begin at Kirkwood Sports Barn parking area, Viewfield Road, Coatbridge ML5 5PS.

No booking is required, just pop along on the day.

About the organiser

Kirkwood Tenants and Residents Association represent all the residents and tenants within Kirkwood community of Coatbridge. They arrange community events and support the residents with any issues they may have. They are currently running a cycle project with Cycling UK. Kirkwood Tenants and Residents Association also hold annual activities for the children of Kirkwood (Easter, Halloween and Christmas).

Socialtrack is a social enterprise that encourages people to cycle, scoot, and skateboard. They challenge poverty and inequality through wheeled sports and active travel with an emphasis on well-being. Socialtrack run a youth employment programme, cycling events in the community, pump track sessions in Bellshill and Wishawhill, a bike library, bike workshops and classes in cycling, scooting and skateboarding.
