About this event

Keep yourself and your bike healthy! Cycle to work for free bike check-ups and minor repairs.

Dr. Bike will be visiting three hospitals across Lanarkshire during the festival. Does your bike need a bit of a tune up? 

Drop off your bike before your shift and collect it later. Plus, free fruit and sweet treats for taking part!

No booking is required, just come along on the day with your bike.

Socialtrack is a social enterprise that encourages people to cycle, scoot, and skateboard. They challenge poverty and inequality through wheeled sports and active travel with an emphasis on well-being. Socialtrack run a youth employment programme, cycling events in the community, pump track sessions in Bellhill and Wishawhill, a bike library, bike workshops and classes in cycling, scooting and skateboarding.

Gear Up is a Healthy Valleys Social Enterprise empowering communities through cycling, walking, and wheeling. 
 
They focus on providing opportunities for local people to improve their health and wellbeing and build stronger communities in areas of deprivation or where there are service gaps.

Healthy and Active in East Kilbride, established in 2003, provide services to enhance the lives of individuals and communities in East Kilbride. They currently have 36 volunteers, who offer support across their wide range of services. 

Healthy and Active in East Kilbride's vision is 'To improve the quality of life, mental and physical health, wellbeing, independence and inclusion of people and communities in the East Kilbride locality, by providing relevant services, improving access to other local supports and activities, and by working effectively with a wide range of partners'. They aim to connect the community through a number of projects with a positive environmental impact including Bee Line to Nature, Parkbathe, and active travel projects.
