About this event
The film, People’s Emergency Briefing, asks questions about how we are facing up to the crises affecting our common home and everything living on it. It raises concern about how prepared we are for environmental breakdown, climate change, economic insecurity, the wellbeing of our communities and about the readiness of our political and economic systems to respond effectively to the challenges ahead.
The film doesn’t view these issues in isolation. It encourages us to consider how they are interconnected and how decisions made today can affect people, communities and future generations. The screening provides an opportunity for the general public to come together, reflect on the concerns raised by the film and consider what practical responses might be possible. The aim is to encourage thoughtful discussion, greater awareness and constructive action, rather than simply presenting problems.
The screening is open to everyone (recommended age 16+).

This event will take place in the church hall at St Ninian’s Church, St Ninians Rd, Hamilton ML3 9TS.
